My time in Bloomington has been occupied lately with preparations for my first show with SheLoaf and the Heck Bats, a female-fronted Meat Loaf cover band. It’s the first time in many years I’ve been involved in any sort of musical endeavor. It’s a funny but effective way to dip my toe in and I’ve met so many good people because of it. I’m singing backup. The facebook description of the band is as follows:
SHELOAF & THE HECK BATS
SHELOAF is a collaboration of local geniuses Zachary “Heckhammer” Anno, Benjamin “Tim Steinboy” Atkinson, Kevin “boas-constrictor” Boas, Jon “The Steel Jewel” Booth, Christopher “Crystal Sword” Beelzebub-Clements, Catherine “Dragon-Dong” Jewett, Jessica “Daemon-Screech” Waggoner, and select members of Lucifer’s own Heavenly Choir. Sounds like: Meatloaf, but more theatrical.
“Sheloaf excels to the level of dancing on a rainbow with no fear.” -Gary Busey
